About Me
I am an agricultural economist and academic leader with more than two decades of experience in higher education, agricultural development, and research. My career has been grounded in agricultural economics, teaching, and community service, complemented by senior administrative responsibilities in academic institutions. I have served as Director of the College of Agriculture at Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto, and as Deputy Provost Academic at the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Wurno. Over the years, I have taught and supervised courses in crop production, farm management, rural sociology, and animal production, while advancing innovative research on agricultural productivity, food security, and environmental sustainability

With extensive experience as a lecturer, researcher, and institutional leader, I bring deep expertise in managing academic programs, conducting applied research, and building partnerships that bridge policy, practice, and community development. My research portfolio includes studies on poultry efficiency, rice productivity, livestock production, and the environmental effects of flooding in semi-arid regions. I have published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences, shaping discourse on sustainable agriculture and environmental resilience.

Education & Experience
I hold a PhD and MSc in Agricultural Economics, as well as a B.Agric, all from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. My professional journey includes roles as Lecturer and Chief Lecturer at Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Director of the College of Agriculture, and Deputy Provost Academic. I have also served as a Price Statistics Officer at the Niger State Ministry of Finance and as an Agricultural Officer with the Sokoto State Ministry of Agriculture. Alongside teaching and research, I have contributed to state-level committees on food and nutrition and participated in numerous agricultural and environmental conferences, including international engagements in Dubai.
